Google Works to Add Night Sight Feature to Video Recording in Pixel 8 Phones
Washington, September 04 (QNA) - US Tech giant Google announced that it is developing a new Night Sight Video recording feature in Pixel 8 phones in order to improve the quality of video clips in low light.
Informed sources explained that Google will provide its night photography feature Night Sight to the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro phones when shooting video clips, adding that this step comes as part of the companys efforts to provide image capture features in video shooting through its devices, despite the difficulty of .the matter and its demand for large computing capabilities for processors.
Night Sight technology relies on a set of advanced technologies such as exposure adjustment, multi-image capture, detail enhancement, noise reduction, and other technologies based on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) mechanisms.
Googles night photography technology Night Sight was revealed by Google years ago for the first time to Pixel 3 phones with the aim to improve the quality of photography in low-light and night conditions.
Google has improved the Night Sight feature in the Pixel 6 phones to make the images clearer and more detailed, thanks to the larger rear sensor that captures more light, the new laser autofocus system, and the image processor in the Google Tensor chip, and in the Pixel 7 phones, the night photography feature witnessed another development by reducing the exposure time before taking pictures, which led to reduced blur, in addition to updating HDR+ technology and relying on new ML mechanisms.
It is expected that Google will unveil the upcoming Pixel 8 phones in early October. (QNA)
