Doha, September 09 (QNA) - The 7th Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail) concluded today with a resounding success, reaffirming its leading regional and global prominence as one of the largest hunting and falconry heritage specialized exhibitions.

With the participation of government ministries and official agencies, in addition to 200 companies from Qatar and beyond, the exhibition brought together the products and services of some of the world's biggest companies specialized in hunting arms and weaponry, falconry and camping supplies, and hunting-specialized vehicles.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Member of the supreme committee organizing the event Malika Al Shraim said that the success of this year's edition exceeded expectations, receiving the general public's praise for the rich selection of products and services offered at such competitive prices.

Al Shraim added that participating entities expressed their satisfaction with the exhibition's turnover, with many of them expressing desire to already reserve a place for the coming edition.

For his part, Katara's Director of Public Relations and Communications Department Salem Mabkhout Al Marri noted the remarkable success of this edition of S'hail, highlighting media outlets' central role in leading to this achievement, through conveying the exhibition's message of strengthening Qatari identity and heritage to all segments of society.

Al Marri added that the event's media coverage was local, regional, and global, with the participation of media outlets from participant countries. Furthermore, the Katara media team distributed a daily news bulletin covering the exhibition in both Arabic and English.

S'hail 2023 executive committee member and auction organizer Salem Khajim Al Athbi told QNA that throughout the entire period of the exhibition, 40 falcons were auctioned, making use of an e-bidding service. He also pointed out that the highest bidding price reached QR 800,000. (QNA)
