Baghdad, September 27 (QNA) - A small fire at Baghdad's Al-Rasheed Hotel has been brought under control, and all guests and diplomatic personnel have been evacuated from it, Iraqi authorities announced Wednesday morning.
An Iraqi security source described the evacuation as a routine precautionary measure, saying guests had safely returned to their rooms.
The hotel is located in Baghdad's highly fortified Green Zone which hosts parliament, many government buildings and foreign embassies.
Another fire broke out earlier today, killing and injuring hundreds, during a wedding at an event hall east of Mosul. (QNA)
