Ramallah, October 15 (QNA) - The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that the Israeli occupation continues to unleash a large scale arrest campaign in the West Bank, the largest in years compared to previous arrest campaigns.

The PPS explained in a statement issued Sunday that the number of arrests since the start of the Israeli comprehensive aggression against Palestinians on Oct. 7 has reached approximately 470 arrests in the West Bank, including all categories, in addition to those working inside the 1948 territories. The exact number of those detained in Gaza is not known precisely until today.

The statement pointed out that the arrest operations have been concentrated in the Hebron governorate, which witnessed the highest number of arrests.

Furthermore, the occupation forces detained at least 65 Palestinians last night and early this morning. These arrest operations were spread across most of the West Bank's governorates, including the occupied Jerusalem.

Around 6000 Palestinians were detained since the start of 2023. (QNA)
