Kuwait, October 16 (QNA) - Speaker of the National Assembly of Kuwait, Ahmed Al Sadoun, has called on the parliaments of Islamic countries to scale up effective pressure, regionally and globally, to halt the persistent attacks perpetrated by the Israeli entity on Gaza Strip.
This came during his participation in the emergency meeting of the heads of the councils of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held virtually on Monday to discuss the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Al Sadoun denunciated the silence over cutting off life essentials from two million Palestinians in Gaza who are being exposed to the largest genocide operation, which is being broadcasted live, in which the most brutal weapons are used, among them the white phosphorous that was dropped on civilian areas, Al Sadoun said.
Speaker of the National Assembly of Kuwait called for an urgent act on the part of the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to coerce the Zionist entity to comply with the international legitimacy resolutions and the establishment of the independent Palestinian State with full sovereignty with East Jerusalem as its capital, asserting that talks with the international community will never end today, but will continue to put spotlight on the brutal violations perpetrated by the occupier Zionist entity against all international laws and humanitarian norms.
He asserted that the relentless shelling operations, heretofore, claimed the lives of 2750 Palestinians, most of them were women and children, though they had never committed any criminal act or sins, stressing that if the parliamentary voice can be transmitted to the international venues, then the religious and humanitarian duty behooves all Muslim parliamentarians to have documented voices to expose all scenes of despotism and abuse being perpetrated by the Zionist entity against the fraternal Palestinian people in the entirely occupied Gaza and Palestine.
On Monday, the fighter jets of the Israeli occupation mounted their airstrikes on Gaza Strip targeting homes, property, and infrastructure, at a time there are over 1000 martyrs under the rubbles of devastated buildings, where medics and rescue teams encounter a challenging situation to retrieve them from the rubbles due to the shortage of essential equipment.
In an infinite toll, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that the number of Palestinian martyrs due to the persistent Israeli aggression on Gaza rose to over 2800 and 10950 casualties. (QNA)
