Doha, November 09 (QNA) - The Ministry of Interior participated in the Cybersecurity and Resilience Symposium, organized by the Civil Aviation Authority in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The symposium brought together aviation industry leaders, cybersecurity experts, representatives of the ICAO and representatives of cybersecurity bodies in the countries of the region.

The Ministry of Interior was represented at the symposium by Director of the Airport Security Department Colonel Khamis Mohammed Al Muraikhi who participated in the emergency planning and response axis with a working paper on 'Excellence in emergency response towards best practices for developing an effective emergency response plan'.

In his paper, he reviewed many pivotal points about the effective response to emergency plans in the face of all threats and addressed comprehensive risk assessment and identification, defining roles and responsibilities, emergency communications plan, resource management, training and exercises, continuity of operations planning, lessons learned and continuous improvement.
