Doha, November 22 (QNA) - The organizing committee of the Expo 2023 Doha revealed that the number of visitors since its launch on Oct. 2 and as of Wednesday has reached nearly one million.

Director of Public Relations and Communication at the Expo 2023 Doha Haifa Al Otaibi said that the exhibition's large turnout reflects the global appeal and growing stature of the State of Qatar as a global center for cultural exchange and innovation.

The exhibition succeeded in uniting cultures under one roof and affirmed commitment to environmental principles and sustainability as key priorities.

Al Otaibi explained that the activities and exhibits at Expo 2023 Doha encompass a variety of themes, such as green technology, sustainability strategies and best practices in horticulture and sustainable agriculture.

Each visitor, irrespective of their background, nationality or age, discovers enriching content that enlightens and inspires them to contemplate their contribution to a more sustainable future for our planet.

The Director of Public Relations and Communication revealed that more than 70 countries have officially opened their pavilions at the exhibition. Each pavilion reflects the culture and innovation of its country, offering visitors a global tour of the heart of Doha.

These pavilions are beacons of knowledge, offering deep insights into global environmental challenges and innovative solutions, thereby enhancing awareness and encouraging action towards a greener future.

As Expo 2023 Doha continues to welcome the global audience, the organizing committee is committed to providing a rich experience that combines learning, interaction, and celebration of cultural and environmental diversity.

Al Otaibi furthermore expressed gratitude to all visitors, participants and partners who contributed to making this event a resounding success.

The daily schedule of events includes various cultural, educational and artistic activities, events and workshops, as well as Qatari-focused and children-focused activities and events.

According to Expo 2023 Doha's organizing committee, the theater will also host events and performances throughout the week, reflecting its commitment to organizing a more integrated and unique version of the event since its launch in the Netherlands in 1960.

The organizing committee has also made sure that the Qatari identity was present at the Expo 2023 Doha, just as it was present in all the major events and forums that the country hosted over the years, whilst also providing the opportunity for international participation aimed at enriching this major global event.
