Doha, November 28 (QNA) - Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majid bin Mohammed Al Ansari, announced the success of the exchange of prisoners and hostages on the fifth day of the humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip, pointing to the release of 30 Palestinian civilians, including 15 minors and 15 women, in exchange for the release of 10 Israeli hostages from Gaza. The list of the hostages released from Gaza includes a minor and 9 women, one of whom holds Austrian citizenship, 2 from Argentina, and one from the Philippines, he explained pointing that they were all handed to the Red Cross.
In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Dr. Al Ansari voiced the State of Qatar's welcoming of the agreement between the Palestinian and Israeli sides to extend the humanitarian pause for an additional two days, expressing Qatar's hope that more progress would be made in the coming hours and days, leading to a permanent ceasefire.
