Ongoing Occupation Aggression on Gaza Leaves Dozens Martyrs, Wounded

  • Gaza

Gaza, December 06 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces continued at dawn Wednesday the intensive shelling of the southern, central, and northern besieged Gaza Strip, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded, most of whom were children and women.

Six Palestinians were martyred and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike on two houses in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, while three were martyred and a number were injured in a raid by Israeli warplanes that targeted a house in the western camp in Khan Yunis, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported.

Artillery shelling persisted on the neighborhoods of Al-Tuffah, Al-Daraj, and Al-Shuja'iya in Gaza City, as well as on the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, Al-Fakhari, Khuzaa, and Abasan.
Israeli forces also unleashed a barrage of phosphorus and smoke bombs towards the central Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.

Civil defense sources said that a large number of martyrs and injured victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Strip were buried under the rubble, making their retrieval difficult.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces arrested 35 medical personnel, including doctors and paramedics.

The death toll in Gaza has so far reached 16,250 since the start of the Israeli aggression on Oct. 7, including 1,240 who were martyrs after the end of the humanitarian pause on Dec. 1.

Since the beginning of the aggression, around 1.9 million people have been forcibly displaced in the Gaza Strip, representing more than 80% of the population, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).

The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that the situation in Gaza is approaching humanity's "darkest hour." (QNA)
