Google Launches Migration Tool for Podcast Subscriptions to YouTube Music
Washington, December 20 (QNA) - Google launched a new tool that allows transferring podcast subscriptions from the (Podcast) application to the (YouTube Music) application or other podcast applications.
Google explained that users must transfer subscriptions from (Google Podcast) to (YouTube Music) by clicking on the (Export Subscriptions) option that appears in the pop-up window in the main application interface, and then clicking on the (Export) button under the (Export to YouTube Music) option.
The YouTube Music application opens automatically to complete the transfer process, as the user must agree to add RSS feeds, which may take a few minutes.
Additionally, Google provides (an export to another application) option to download a file in (OPML) format that contains the users subscriptions; which allows for opening any other podcast application, then using (import subscriptions) into it based on that file.
YouTube Music team said it will "add the ability to mark podcast episodes that have been listened to so that listeners can easily identify episodes they have previously interacted with," adding that the company is integrating the (Podcast) service into (YouTube Music), for it to be an inclusive platform for audio and music services.
Google announced the closure of its (Podcast) service starting next April and its integration into the (YouTube Music) application. (QNA)
