Doha, January 15 (QNA) - Qatar News Agency (QNA) organized Monday a legal workshop to provide its employees with the concept, types and conditions of intellectual property rights.

Held at QNA premises in Al Dafna district, the workshop discussed the inventions, literary and artistic works, designs and symbols, names and images used in commerce. It was presented by Chairperson of Al Hanzab & Partners Law Firm for Legal Consultations and Arbitration, Ali Al Hanzab.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Hanzab said the world legislation and laws were enacted to protect humans' intellectual achievements, hailing QNA's efforts in highlighting this topic and contributing to strengthening its concept.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Sharafi, senior legal advisor and former judge, who gave an informative presentation of the key themes of intellectual, literary and material copyrights, told QNA that this workshop highlighted the concept of intellectual property and the extent of its impact on the advancement of human societies, while taking into account the rights of creators and innovators.

In March 2023, QNA inaugurated QNA Training Hall in line with its vision of developing media cadres by offering specialized, qualitative training programs, and out of its keenness to produce qualified young Qatari cadres capable of keeping pace with latest media transformations and developments.
