London, January 15 (QNA) - HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah met with HE Secretary of State for Defense of the United Kingdom Grant Shapps, at the headquarter of the Ministry of Defense in London.

They discussed topics of common interest, in addition to military cooperation relations between the two sides, and ways to strengthen and develop them.

The two sides also addressed the latest developments in the region, in particular the Israeli war in Gaza. The meeting also touched on the role of the State of Qatar in mediation efforts and keenness on ensuring a ceasefire and stopping the war on Gaza.

HE Commander of Amiri Air Force Major General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai and Qatar's Military Attache in Britain Ali Mohammed Al Fadala attended the meeting along with a number of senior officials and officers from both sides. (QNA)
