Doha, January 22 (QNA) - The captain of the Qatari national team, Hassan Al Haydos, expressed his happiness at achieving the third consecutive win after beating China 1-0 on Monday at Khalifa International Stadium in Group A's third round of matches of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.

Al Haydos, who was named the best player of the match between Qatar and China, said he is proud of how all the players performed in the tournament. He contributed to obtaining the title of the best player to the team's collective work and its staff.

He also expressed his joy to see new players used in the field who gave great performances.
He thanked the team's technical staff, led by Marquez Lopez, who was able in a short period to leave his mark. He also expressed gratitude towards the fans for standing by the team in all the matches.

In all the tournaments that Al Haydos participates in, he said that he does not focus on achieving personal records and that his main goal is to serve the Qatari national team and contribute with the rest of the players.

For his part, Qatari national team player Khalid Muneer praised the level and result they achieved against China. He also thanked the fans who always support and stand by them in all matches, and they hope to continue with the same performance in the upcoming matches.

Muneer added that Monday's match showed that any change in the lineup does not have a significant impact and all the players deliver what is required of them according to the vision of the technical staff led by Lopez. (QNA)
