Doha, January 26 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Friday received a phone call from HE President of the friendly United States of America Joe Biden.

During the call, they discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.

In this regard, HE President Biden extended thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the diplomatic and humanitarian efforts and endeavors of the State of Qatar regarding the situation in Gaza.

For his part, HH the Amir underlined strengthening regional and international cooperation in order to achieve an immediate ceasefire, spare the blood of civilians in Gaza and protect them, and keep the crossings open for the sustainable entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip in order to promote peace and stability in the Middle East region, praising the role of the United States.

The two sides also discussed the Qatar-US strategic relations and means of boosting and developing them. (QNA)
