Doha, January 26 (QNA) - The CEO of Qatar Stars League (QSL) Hani Taleb Ballan affirmed the many positive gains of the Qatari-UAE Super Cup, noting that work has been in full swing during the past period in order to finalize all arrangements for this tournament.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Ballan pointed out that the idea of the tournament did not come out of nowhere, but rather was the result of many meetings and extensive studies over the past months until it saw the light, affirming that it will have great positive gains at all levels in the region.

He considered the Super Cup to be unique, especially since it will draw a lot of attention in light of the participation of the league and cup champions in Qatar and the Emirates, in addition to its prizes USD 2,4 million, as the champions in the two competitions will receive USD 800,000, while the runners-up will receive USD 400,000.

He noted that the four participating teams comprise great players as well as professionals at the highest levels, which indicates the organization of two heavy-caliber confrontations during the month of next April, stressing that everyone feels great optimism about organizing this joint tournament, and look forward to continuing it as an annual tradition, where there will be an evaluation of its first edition.
"We are very confident that it will have great gains for both countries at all levels, and will enhance the spirit of competition among all teams," Ballan said. (QNA)
