Microsoft Releases App to Clean and Maintain Windows System
Washington, February 08 (QNA) - Microsoft has rolled out its new Computer Management app (Microsoft PC Manager), which allows users to clean, maintain and enhance Windows' performance.
The new app looks similar to other popular external apps that Windows users rely on, such as CCleaner, BleachBit and other similar apps.
The new Microsoft app can enhance Windows system performance, by eliminating unnecessary files, editing more storage capacity, reducing random memory consumption and managing applications that work with the device's start-up.
In terms of protection and security, the app can perform a computer scan to detect viruses and malware, and that feature depends on the Microsoft Defender app built into Windows, with other options such as checking for new updates, etc.
Users can manage storage capacity through deep cleaning of unwanted files and access to large-sized files, as well as managing applications installed or running in the background.
In addition, the app displays some shortcuts for important tools, such as the screenshot capture tool and other tools available in Windows or via the web.
Microsoft extensively rolls out PC Manager, and users can download it free of charge from its official App Store on their Windows 10 or 11 devices, with a small application that does not consume hardware resources.
This new Microsoft app may discourage users from resorting to other alternative apps, offering most of the basic advantages and options found in it and being developed by Microsoft itself. (QNA)
