Jordanian Government Communications Minister to QNA: Qatar Proved Again Ability to Host Major Football Events

Amman, February 10 (QNA) - HE Jordan's Minister of Government Communications and Government Spokesperson, Dr. Muhannad Mubaideen applauded the logistical preparations and efforts made by the State of Qatar to host the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.

In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Mubaideen said the State of Qatar has demonstrated its capabilities and aptitude to host global football events after it had succeeded in hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament, which he said, was a global message of the fact that the Arab region- which constitutes the cradle of religions and cultures- was established on a vision and approach that underpin peace and love for all nations.

His Excellency noted the facilitations the State of Qatar is providing to the Jordanian fans in helping them reach to the sport facilities, in addition to providing all required amenities and services to them, including those related to granting entry visas.

Commenting on the final match due to be played Saturday between Qatar and Jordan at Lusail Stadium, Mubaideen affirmed that he is blissful to see the final as a pure Arab tournament, emphasizing that what is required is high-performance levels on the part of the two teams that reflect the great progress Arab football is witnessing, along with the spirit of fraternity inside and outside the stadium.

In conclusion, the Jordanian Minister commended his country's team for reaching the final, which is considered a tremendous milestone for the Jordanian football for the first time, emphasizing the importance of achievement to be reverberated around the evolution of the Jordanian football in the future and building on the current achievement.
