Doha, February 14 (QNA) - Czech professional tennis player Karolina Pliskova moved into the Qatar TotalEnergies Open 2024 quarterfinals on Wednesday.

Within the third stage of the tournament held at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, Pliskova beat Linda Noskova in two sets to one, 3 - 6, 7 - 5, and 6 - 1.

Having maintained 17 titles, Pliskova, 31, strives to win the second title in Qatar after she had previously won it in 2017, with the Chinese player Geng-Lai Chen being knocked out after surprise loss to the Canadian Leylah Fernandez.

Japanese player Naomi Osaka qualified for the quarterfinals and is determined to restore her previous level that helped her top the classification list among other players. (QNA)
