Google Announces Improved AI Model Gemini 1.5 Pro
Washington, February 16 (QNA) - Google announced on Thursday that it has improved its new AI model, Gemini 1.5 and Gemini 1.5 Pro, to achieve even greater quality.
The company said in a statement that the model is medium-sized and multimodal, and can handle a wide range of tasks.
The new Gemini 1.5 Pro version is 87 percent better than the first version, which was released at the end of last year.
AI models are made up of tokens, which are the building blocks used to process information.
Tokens can be whole words, parts of words, images, videos, audio, or code. The ability of AI systems to understand and process information increases as the number of tokens increases. This leads to improved outputs and results.
Google will increase the number of tokens in the Gemini 1.5 Pro model to 128,000.
The company is also testing the same model with a million tokens on a limited basis for developers and businesses.
It is worth noting that Google has re-launched its AI assistant under the name Gemini, replacing the previous name Bard. (QNA)
