QNA Launches Media Translation, Mandatory Employee Onboarding Courses
Doha, February 18 (QNA) - Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched Sunday a media translation course and an employee onboarding training aimed at raising national cadres' media and journalistic potentials.
A total of 19 QNA employees as well as media staff from several state agencies gathered at QNA Training Hall for the media translation course led by QNA media translation specialist Khaled Al Qatamin.
The five-day event provides trainees with the required skills and knowledge of printed and audiovisual media translation and fruitful interactive and motivational training experience tailored to their needs. Among the themes of the course are the importance, uniqueness, variety and challenges of media translation.
Participants will get hands-on training on chosen printed and visual stories and submit graduation projects to measure their learning upon the conclusion of the course.
The mandatory onboarding training program spans 10 days and provides 15 QNA new hires with journalistic, technical, administrative and legal skills needed for a successful QNA career. The program copes with the QNA vision to elevate its cadres potentials by benefiting from seasoned trainers.
According to the agenda, the trainees will be assigned to submit a graduation project that includes an integrated report on all QNA departments, joint work mechanism.
Meanwhile, QNA Training Center is in the process of releasing a media translation booklet and a new employee manual. (QNA)
