Doha, February 23 (QNA) - The Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS) President Mohammed Salem Al Nuaimi confirmed that the State of Qatar possesses the best competencies and successful administrative cadres at the continental and global levels, after his re-election as President of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports for a third term until 2027, in addition to his compatriot Mubarak Al Khayarin heading the International Snooker Federation.

In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Nuaimi considered the trust he received from the ACBS members and their belief in the success of the policy that the confederation was pursuing in the past eight years during his presidency in the first and second terms a great honor, hopefully, he will be up to the responsibility in the new state, and will continue his efforts to develop the sport of snooker at the continental level.

Regarding the 2024 Asian Men Snooker Championship, Al Nuaimi explained that the tournament achieved an unparalleled organizational and technical success, as this was demonstrated by the high technical levels, in addition to the delegations and participating players praise of the high level of organizing the event.

Mohammed Salem Al Nuaimi concluded by saying that the Qatari national team players who participated in the Asian Championship presented high technical levels, especially Ali Al Obaidly, who continued his brilliance and won the bronze medal (the first medal for Qatari snooker at the Asian level), after recently winning the world championship title and gold medal several months ago.
