Doha, February 26 (QNA) - HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, launched today a new mobile app for the environment and environment-related services, as part of the ministry's digital transformation efforts regarding its services provided to the public.
The app, inaugurated during the ministry's celebration of Qatar Environment Day, encompasses all the ministry's services currently available on its website.
Noura Al Ammari, who is the head of applications at the information systems department of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, emphasized that the application features a design and technical approach that allows easy navigation between services. It also provides individuals and companies with a level of security while browsing by requiring users to register through the national authentication system when conducting transactions.
She explained that the app, the first of its kind for the ministry, categorizes services into three sectors: environmental affairs, natural reserves, and climate change. She added that it offers various services for companies, including environmental assessment, permits, environmental monitoring among other services. The interactive service allows the public to report environmental violations by attaching a photo of the violation and sending it through the mobile application.
Al Ammari highlighted the ability for companies and individuals to request services, complete transactions, submit proposals, complaints, and feedback, as well as track requests through the ministry's website or the new app available on smartphones.
She affirmed that the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change aims, through the launch of the app, to enhance electronic services and provide advanced technological solutions to assist in Qatar's digital transformation. She added that this effort aligns with the core pillars of Qatar Vision 2030 and supports the ministry's ongoing development journey to excel in delivering services and make them easily accessible to individuals anytime and anywhere.
