Qatar Tourism Concludes Luminous Festival, Announces March Calendar

Doha, March 05 (QNA) - Qatar Tourism announced the conclusion of the inaugural 10-day light festival, 'Luminous Festival' at Al Saad Plaza, Lusail, with a number of visitors that reached 220,464 visitors, marking it as a successful pioneering light festival in the country.
A statement for Qatar Tourism on Tuesday said that the first of its kind festival in Qatar had nearly 20 light installations, stage performances, roaming costumed characters, and other entertainment acts every night.
The interactive light installations were organized by themes of the Elements, and had masterpieces designed and constructed by various international artists. With both stage and street performances, each zone at the festival saw a variety of live, family-friendly entertainment. On the other hand, Qatar Tourism announced a rich calendar, ranging from food festivals to exceptional art exhibitions, and a variety of events and activities in Qatar during March. Qatar Tourism said that Qatar is preparing to host a wide range of events, including an exceptional package of art exhibitions, festivals, and exclusive activities.
Commenting on the March calendar, Head of Tourism Events and Festivals Organising Section at Qatar Tourism Sheikha Noor Abdulla Al-Thani said: "On the March calendar we will bid farewell to one of the longest running exhibitions in Qatar, the Doha Expo 2023 which ran for six months. Subsequently, we are welcoming an array of different events suitable for all tastes. At Qatar Tourism we aim to expand on our offerings to residents and visitors, providing a diverse selection of family friendly events." March activities range from food festivals to exceptional art exhibitions, a defence conference, a Malayalam award show, and a variety of Ramadan events and activities. (QNA)
