Islamabad, March 09 (QNA) - Asif Ali Zardari was elected Saturday President of Pakistan for the second time after he had assumed this position during 2008 and 2013.

President of Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians Zardari received majority votes of the electoral college, comprising the parliament and provincial assemblies, paving way for him to assume the post of President of Pakistan for the historic second time in country's parliamentary history, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.

Zardari secured 411 votes from national and provincial lawmakers. (QNA)
