Riyadh, March 27 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the Israeli occupations announcement of the confiscation of lands amounting to 8,000 dunams from the Jordan Valley region in the occupied Palestinian territories, " in a blatant violation of relevant international laws and an extension of the brutal practices of the Israeli occupations forced settlement operations"

"The Kingdom affirms that the continued Israeli violation of the rules of international law and legitimacy resolutions without deterrence weakens the credibility of the international system and undermines the chances of a just and sustainable peace based on the two-state solution", The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. Saudi Arabia renewed its call on the international community to immediately stop the systematic Israeli settlers' violations and return confiscated Palestinian lands.

The occupation authorities confiscated about 8,000 dunams of land in the Jordan Valley, declaring it "state land", meaning that it can now be used for settlement projects. The Hebrew Radio reported that announcing the ownership of the land by the Israeli entity would allow the construction of hundreds of settlement housing units, in addition to an area designated for industry and trade.
