Qatar, Uganda Ink Agreement to Enhance Cooperation in Labor Fields

Kampala, April 01 (QNA) - The Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Uganda have signed an agreement to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of labor and organize labor recruitment from the Republic of Uganda.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of the State of Qatar by HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, and on behalf of the Republic of Uganda by HE Minister of Gender, Labor and Social Development Betty Amongi.
The agreement aims to enhance the strategy of the Ministry of Labor in attracting skilled and qualified labor and bolstering their presence in the local market, improving the productivity of the private sector, and upgrading the work environment.
Under the agreement, the two parties will facilitate the procedures for recruiting skilled labor from the Republic of Uganda and supply the local market with the required competencies, qualifications, experiences, and specializations. The two sides will also review job opportunities available in the State of Qatar and the skills and experiences required, and their availability in the Republic of Uganda. (QNA)
