Earthquake of 5.5 Magnitude Strikes Kermadec Islands off New Zealand Coast

Wellington, April 25 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Thursday the Kermadec Islands off the coast of New Zealand.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 179 km, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

There have been no reports of casualties or material losses due to the earthquake so far.

It is noteworthy that an earthquake measuring 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Wednesday the Kermadec Islands. (QNA)
