30 Thousand Palestinians Perform Friday Prayer in Al Aqsa Mosque
Occupied Jerusalem, May 10 (QNA) - Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayers inside the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the strict military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on those arriving to the mosque.
The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem estimated, in a statement, the number of worshipers at about 30,000 citizens, noting that the occupation forces prevented tens of thousands of other residents of the rest of the occupied territories from reaching the Old City, and young Jerusalemites from praying in Al-Aqsa, but the crowds performed their prayer at the gates of the old city.
The occupation forces, since the start of their aggression against the Gaza Strip seven months ago, have deliberately intensified their arbitrary measures against the residents of West Bank and Jerusalem, and escalated their arrests of activists, young men and women alike, as the number of detainees since the October 7 was estimated at about nine thousand people.(QNA)
