Doha, May 14 (QNA) - Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) organized a lecture at the Education City's Student Center on the future of innovation in health and well-being, under the title of sports, health and technology and developing smart wearable devices in the future.

The lecture was held as part of a series of the Education Citys lectures and highlighted AI role in making changes in the future of health technologies and promoting the preventive health.

During the lecture, Founder and CEO of US WHOOP Will Ahmed talked about AI role as a core element in WHOOP technologies used in its algorithms and in many linguistic models that can be interacted with very easily.

He added that WHOOP has currently a trainer in its electronic application carrying the same name with whom users can interact to ask questions about their data. The trainer, he said, can suggest the suitable exercises, bedtimes, reasons of exhaustion and probability of contracting diseases.

The WHOOP trainer responds to inquiries based on users data that can be accessed, Ahmed highlighted, adding that AI ensures the constant evolution of wearable smart phones, ultimately positioning themselves as trainers, nutrition experts and physician around the clock.

The power of health measurement and monitoring devices implies that they can predict diseases, heart attacks, strokes, and multiple types of diseases he said, indicating that during the next three to five years, there will be a tremendous golden age, in terms of health awareness, and unprecedented growth in preventive medicine.
