Organized by Huawei company in collaboration with the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), the program comes as part of the unwavering endeavor to support and upgrade the skills of Qatari youth in the field of communications and IT.

Participating in this program are 10 elite Qatari university undergraduates students who will represent Qatar in the Middle East and Central Asia. Additionally, this year's program elevates to new levels of excellence through a competitive selection process aimed at drawing a contingent of outstanding students from the leading Qatari universities.

The selected students will embark on an enriching journey to Uzbekistan to participate alongside their peers from across the Middle East and Central Asia in a week-long extensive program that features interactive experiences that range from rich cultural exchange to exploring the cutting-edge technologies.

They are set to embark upon real projects that primarily aim to find solutions for the pressing global challenges, thus enhancing their skills and helping them prepare for taking on the mantle of future leadership.

To mark this program, the Tech4Good regional competition will be held, concurrently, to empower the participating students to innovate technological solutions that address social and environmental challenges and make positive impact on their communities.

President of CRA, Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al Muslemani, highlighted that CRA will continue partnering with Huawei in this important initiative, affirming that the program is consistent with the CRA's keenness to empower youth and imbue them with essential skills and knowledge to excel in the field of communications and IT, in alignment with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

For his part, President of Huawei Technologies Gulf Region Rico Lin, stressed the importance of developing young talent around the globe, in addition to advancing their skills through the 'Seeds for the Future' program. He underlined the keenness to inspire the next generation of ICT leaders in Qatar and provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive innovation and shape the country's digital future.

The application process for the "Seeds for the Future" program is now open on the official website of the program.

Huawei launched the 'Seeds for the Future' program for the first time in 2008. Since then, more than 18,000 students from 141 countries around the world have participated in the program. It has attracted over 300 outstanding students from various universities since its inception in Qatar in 2018. Qatar also hosted the first regional 'Seeds for the Future' program for the Middle East and Central Asia in 2023. (QNA)
