Doha, August 01 (QNA) - Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) announced that it has successfully completed its restructuring process.

A statement by the QEWC Thursday said that it has begun managing all commercial, administrative and technical affairs of Nebras Power through a services agreement signed between the two companies last July, where Nebras Power employees and its administrative systems were transferred to Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC).

The statement explained that this change comes as part of 'QEWC's ambition to enhance resources, upgrade capabilities, increase efficiency and achieve further development in electricity generation and water desalination projects in the future.

The QEWC aims to enhance the development of its subsidiaries to expand its business locally and globally, which contributes to supporting important projects for the country's future.

Eng. Mohammed Nasser Al-Hajri, Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC), underlined the importance of this change in achieving operational integration and organizing internal operations within the Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) Group.

In a related context, he explained that this step will support the QEWC in its success and achieving future development goals, stressing that priority has been given to ensuring business continuity while maintaining and strengthening all existing commitments with all stakeholders and the importance of the transition without affecting the QEWC's existing projects.
