Doha, August 31 (QNA) - The General Assembly of Al Wakrah SC re-elected HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan Al-Thani as the club's president by acclamation for the new electoral term (2024 - 2028).
This was announced during the General Assembly meeting held at the club's headquarters following the completion of the necessary legal quorum, in the presence of the founding members, working members, and representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
Salman Abdul Ghani was also elected as Vice President for a new term, as part of the list that submitted a nomination request to run the club in the new term.
The club's General Assembly discussed items on the agenda, while the members of the Assembly expressed their hope that the club would maintain the good position achieved after the first football team won the Qatar Cup title last season and is competing in the Qatari league (Ooredoo Stars League) this season.
