Doha, September 09 (QNA) - The General Assembly of Al Arabi Sports Club elected by acclamation HE Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al-Thani as President of the Club and Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari as Vice President for the electoral cycle 2024-2028.

This came during the regular General Assembly meeting held today at the club's headquarters after the legal quorum was completed in the presence of the founding members and working members, and representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al-Thani's victory was approved by acclamation for a new term.

The members of the General Assembly of Al Arabi Club expressed their great hope that the club would continue its journey of championships in various games, as it managed to win 33 championships during the past four years from 2020 until the end of the electoral term in 2024.

The General Assembly meeting voted on the members of the club's membership and elections committee.

The main elected list was: Fahd Abdullah Al Mal, Jassim Ibrahim Al Mohammedi, Khalifa Sultan Al Hitmi, Dr. Badr Sultan Al Rumaihi, and Khaled Al Kubaisi, in addition to the reserve list that included: Ahmed Al Sayed, Mohammed Al Obaidli, Abdulaziz Al Saud and Abdulaziz Al Obaidan.

In his speech, HE Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al-Thani expressed pleasure for obtaining the confidence of the members of the club's General Assembly for the new electoral cycle, stressing his commitment to working hard to achieve more successes and develop the club in various sports.

For his part, Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari said that this confidence reflects the efforts of the Board of Directors for more distinguished achievements and pledged to continue to enhance the club's position and win more championships.
