Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Organizes Forum on Innovation, Developing Public Sector Leaders

Doha, October 16 (QNA) - The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, represented by the Institute of Public Administration, organized a forum on the sidelines of the 22nd meeting of the GCC Directors of Public Administration Institutes. The forum aimed to promote a culture of innovation in government work and develop public sector leadership.

In his opening remarks, HE President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa emphasized that innovation is now a fundamental driver for achieving sustainable development and enhancing competitiveness in the public sector.

He noted that this forum offers a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices among GCC countries, enhancing the capacity to address common challenges and innovate sustainable future solutions.

Al Khalifa underscored the importance of utilizing artificial intelligence and technology to improve training outcomes, ultimately enhancing leadership development and government performance.

Participants included President of the Royal Academy of Management in Oman Dr. Ali bin Qasim Al Lawati, and representatives from Qatar such as Director of the Institute of Public Administration Maha Masoud Al Marri, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Government Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Mashael Ali Al Hammadi, Raed Ibrahim Al Emadi, who is the head of the team overseeing the implementation of the Third National Development Strategy at the National Planning Council, and co-founder and CEO of Ibtechar Nayef Al Ibrahim.

The forum featured a panel discussion on investing in human capital and adopting innovative approaches to improve government performance. Additionally, presentations highlighted various innovative projects by government entities, including the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation Council.

These projects demonstrated improvements in the quality of government services and operational efficiency, supporting sustainable development and excellence in government performance. (QNA)
