Ministry of Culture Gears Up to Open Fareej Festival for Art and Design on Thursday

Doha, October 27 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture will embark on the activities of the cultural season on Thursday by opening the Fareej Festival for Art and Design at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal. The event is scheduled to run from Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, 2024.
The festival pays tribute to art design and landscape in the State of Qatar and features a phalanx of exhibitions, studios, art workshops, cultural symposia and theater shows, in addition to several art and patrimonial sections with the participation of 19 entities.
Alongside this festival, the sixth-month cultural season comprises a multitude of major cultural activities, foremost of which are Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar scheduled for Nov.8-13, 2024, along with cultural weeks in the same month, symposia season, universities' poet, the 34th edition of Doha International Book Fair, the 37th edition of Doha Theatrical Festival, in addition to cultural events that are exclusively devoted to a wide spectrum of community individuals and visitors of Qatar.
Additionally, these activities broadly promote cultural identity and knowledge with their varying laid out programs and activities, as the cultural season intends to open a cultural dialogue among Qatari and foreign artists.
Assistant Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs at the Ministry of Culture Dr. Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Ali said the cultural season is primarily intended to translate the ministry's vision that aims to foster the cultural scene in Qatar and nurture it with a fresh array of activities to enhance community interaction and serve the efforts dedicated to supporting the cultural tourism.
Dr. Al Ali highlighted that the cultural season, likewise, intends to create an interactive platform among intellectuals, innovators, poets and the audience, as well as productive cultural dialogue to help advance the cultural development in Qatar. (QNA)
