MoPH Organizes Workshop on Executive Action Plan for National Health Strategy

Doha, October 30 (QNA) - The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has organized a workshop on the executive action plan for the next phase of the National Health Strategy (2024-2030) for strategy outcome officials and their deputies.

Dr. Saleh Al Marri, Assistant Minister of Health for Health Affairs and Leader of the first priority of the strategy reviewed the development of the strategy and its alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy (2024-2030).

Dr. Mariam Abdulmalik, Director General of the Primary Health Care Corporation and Leader of the second priority of the strategy gave an orientation presentation on the governance framework of the new strategy, including a comprehensive overview of the National Health Strategy Committee and its reporting structure.

Huda Al Kathiri, Director of the Strategic Planning, Performance and Innovation Department at the Ministry of Public Health and Leader of the third priority of the strategy presented the results, initiatives and projects of the strategy.

The workshop reviewed the main areas for implementing the National Health Strategy (2024-2030), including the communication plan, strategic coherence, resource allocation, and the next steps for aligning projects with the National Planning Council.

The workshop is part of a series of workshops dedicated to the next phase of the National Health Strategy (2024-2030) for outcome officials and their teams, health sector officials, and partners.

The National Health Strategy seeks to achieve the health sectors ambition of building a health-focused society supported by an integrated health system based on clinical excellence, sustainability, and innovation through a set of initiatives to achieve the 15 specific outcomes of the strategy.

The most prominent desired outcomes include enhancing the health awareness of the population, empowering patients and caregivers, proactive prevention and detection of diseases, ensuring comprehensive and integrated health and well-being across all sectors, developing updated and comprehensive models, pathways, and standards of care, and excellence in primary, community, secondary, and specialized care.

The outcomes also aim to achieve excellence in health research, development and innovation, effective emergency preparedness and response, a skilled and effective workforce, an efficient digital health system, data-driven decision-making, the development of strong and effective governance, and sustainable healthcare financing.
