Doha, November 04 (QNA) - The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) announced that it has elected Qatari Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari as chairperson of the media committee for the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup, known as Khaleeji Zain 26, in Kuwait, as well as representative of the QFA.

Additionally, Kuwaiti Sattam Ali Al Sahli was elected as the deputy chairperson of the committee and representative of his country's federation.

The committee includes a diverse group of members, namely Salem Ali Al Naqbi from the UAE, Bahraini Ahmed Mahdi Mirza, Faisal bin Yusuf Al Tuwair from Saudi Arabia, Youssef Fael Dhamad from Iraq, Nabil bin Hamad Al Mazrouei from Oman, and Khalid Hamoud Al Soudi from Yemen.

The committee is scheduled to convene its first meeting on the margins of the draw ceremony for Khaleeji Zain 26 in Kuwait on Nov. 9, 2024.

It is tasked with numerous functions, foremost of which are crafting a unified media policy for the tournament and distributing its activities through diverse media initiatives, encouraging media outlets in the participating countries to promote the tournament in line with its noble sporting objectives and essential marketing.

Furthermore, the committee strives to raise sports fans' awareness to engage in constructive and meaningful matters, away from bigotry and fanaticism. It aims to avoid publishing complaints and protests that may be submitted by the teams, leaving these issues to the relevant committees for review and appropriate decision-making. (QNA)
