26th Gulf Cup Draw Places Qatar in Group A alongside Kuwait, UAE, Oman

Kuwait, November 09 (QNA) - The 26th Gulf Cup draw, which was held on Saturday in Kuwait, placed Qatar in Group A alongside hosts Kuwait, the UAE, and Oman, while Group B included Iraq, the title holder, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Yemen.

Hosted by Kuwait, the tournament will be held from December 21 to January 3.

The draw ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Sports and Youth Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, who is also the President of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, along with Federation officials, representatives of the eight teams participating in the tournament, and a number of former Gulf football stars.

Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium and Al-Sulaibikhat Club Stadium will host the tournament.

Kuwait leads the number of times it has won the tournament with ten times, followed by Iraq with four times and Saudi Arabia and Qatar with three times, while Oman and the UAE have won the title twice, and finally Bahrain with one title. (QNA)
