Doha, December 05 (QNA) - The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, affiliated with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, opened Thursday the "Illustrated Messages" art exhibition in cooperation with the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara).

The exhibition aims to highlight the unique talents and creativity of Shafallah's members by displaying artworks that won international awards during 2024 competitions.

"Illustrated Messages" is part of the center's endeavors to better integrate and empower its members in the local and international community.

The exhibition features artworks by 120 Shafallah members and 13 artworks by students from Sherborne Qatar schools. It includes 88 artworks in total that range in styles, aesthetics and techniques.

The participating members worked on three paintings under the mentorship of Qatari artist Abdullah Al Mutawa, gaining valuable artistic experience.

Executive Director of the Center Maryam Al Sowaidi praised the works done by the members that reflected Qatar's true heritage and proved their unique capabilities.

Al Sowaidi expressed gratitude for the participation of students from Sherborne Qatar schools and for the support provided by the Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) in ensuring the success of the art exhibition which in turn shows the importance of public involvement with the Center and their members.

The "Illustrated Messages" exhibition contributes to enhancing understanding and community support by integrating persons with disabilities into society and highlighting their capabilities through art. (QNA)
