Minister of Education Honors 78 Outstanding Qatari Students at UK Universities

London, December 06 (QNA) - HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater has honored 78 outstanding Qatari students studying at British universities, who achieved the "Excellent" grade in their foundation, first and second years across various scientific and literary disciplines. The top twenty students were equally divided between male and female students.

This recognition was part of the framework of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's state visit to the United Kingdom.

HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education congratulated the outstanding students, expressing her pride and appreciation for their exceptional academic performance at international universities with rigorous academic standards. She emphasized how their achievements highlighted the scientific capabilities of Qatari students, enabling them to competently compete with their peers on a global level.

Her Excellency applauded the wise policy of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in investing in the human element by sending students to prestigious international universities in specialized fields that support a knowledge-based economy and align with the states developmental goals. She emphasized that this policy fosters leadership and enhances Qatar's competitiveness at all levels.

Her Excellency noted that the excellence of Qatari students today is the fruit of their efforts and passion for learning, serving as a living proof of the quality of Qatar's educational system which has enabled them to compete, thrive, and even excel at these universities. She emphasized that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education will spare no effort in supporting its students, providing them with opportunities, and overcoming all challenges to help them attain and acquire specialized knowledge.

For his part, Qatari Cultural Attache to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, Fahad bin Mohammed Al Kuwari, praised the wise leadership's unwavering support for the education sector. He noted that the outstanding students were inspired by the leadership's vision which motivated them to excel through their diligence, perseverance, willpower, determination and high ambition. They accepted the challenge with a strong will to succeed, leading to the scientific excellence and distinction we celebrate today.

Al Kuwari emphasized that the future is built on innovation, excellence and scientific distinction, and that education is a true investment for Qatar. He assured that the country will continue to prioritize it until its renaissance is realized at all levels.

The Qatari Cultural Attache urged the students to maintain their academic excellence and become a valuable addition to Qatars human and intellectual capital in the future. He encouraged them to uphold their Qatari identity, as they are ambassadors for their country, and to take full advantage of the diverse academic opportunities provided by the state in higher education. This will enable them to contribute to achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. (QNA)
