National Day/ General Manager of Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities: QND is Throwback to Qatar's Great Legacy in Charitable Initiatives
Doha, December 14 (QNA) - General Manager of Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) Ibrahim Abdullah Al Dehaimi stressed that the National Day is a confirmation of the deep-rooted values established by the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, which combine national dignity with humanitarian work.
For RACA, this day serves as a reminder of the country's great heritage in the field of charity work, a legacy established by the founder and continue as a tradition passed down through generations, he added.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day, Al Dehaimi said that today we see in Qatar a bright depiction of unity among all those living on this blessed land, as they come together to serve the most needy populations across the globe, reflecting the values upon which our country was founded.
He added that the rulers of the State of Qatar, since the founder's era, have maintained the principles of unity and national identity through their focus on the country's development and the well-being of its citizens and residents, and at the same time, they have continued to strengthen the humanitarian and charitable approach established by Sheikh Jassim.
Al Dehaimi added that this approach has been implemented through supporting and organizing charitable work by enhancing the independence of charitable organizations and encouraging the Qatari community to participate in humanitarian initiatives both within the country and abroad, making Qatar a global model in this field.
General Manager of RACA also mentioned that this year's National Day celebration coincides with the implementation of the Authority's 2nd strategy, which enabled it to achieve a sustainable transformation in the supervision and monitoring models of charitable work, in line with global best practices, adding that the past year witnessed tangible growth in the quantity and quality of partnerships with the charitable sector, contributing to enhancing the impact of Qatari charitable work both locally and internationally.
Concluding his statement to QNA, Al Dehaimi said that the Authority's strategy 2024-2030 aligns perfectly with the Third National Development Strategy, especially the seventh strategic outcome related to building outstanding government institutions. He stressed that the Authority aims to enhance the efficiency of the charitable sector by strengthening governance systems, stimulating innovation, and expanding strategic partnerships to achieve a broader and deeper impact at both local and international levels.
