Doha, November 07 (QNA) - Abdulaziz Hatem, the midfielder for the Qatari national football team, confirmed that the aspirations are great in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, although the team's task will not be easy at all in light of the presence of strong teams competing in the first group, namely Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands.
The 32-year-old Qatari player said in a statement to the official website of Qatar Football Association (QFA), that the dream has become a reality, and a few days separate the Qatari team, the Asian champion, from its first historical participation in World Cup.
Despite his strong determination and growing ambitions, Hatem did not expect that he would make a historic participation in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Abdulaziz Hatem pointed out that the Qatari national team seeks to perform well in an image worthy of the Asian champion.
Abdulaziz Hatem, who admitted that he lived his most difficult period following the team's victory in the 22nd Arabian Gulf Cup, considered that the public support will positively affect the team's performance during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 competitions, in order to motivate the team, directing his message to all to stand up behind the team and to support it.
The player, who is a mainstay in the Al Rayyan SC squad, said that he hopes to present his best levels during the World Cup.
The player who contributed to the national team's crowning the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE said: "We must focus during the coming period, and our goal is to prove that Qatar has a team capable of presenting honorable performances." Hatem participated with Qatar national team in 2019 Copa America and CONCACAF Gold Cup, during the months of July and August 2021, at the invitation of the Confederation of Concacaf, he performed well during the competitions, as the team reached the semi-finals and scored 12 goals in five matches.
