Yaounde, November 10 (QNA) - The Cameroonian Football Association announced Thursday the start of the final stage of the national team's preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, due to kick off Nov. 20 and runs through Dec. 18.
The Cameroonian national team will go through its preparations for the World Cup in a camp in Abu Dhabi, the UAE until they travel to Doha on Nov. 19, the federation said in a statement.
On Wednesday, Cameroon drew 1-1 with Jamaica in a friendly match ahead of the World Cup.
Fans were allowed to enter the team's open training session at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium to motivate the players ahead of their World Cup seventh appearance.
Cameroon were drawn in Group G along with Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland. Their first game will be against Switzerland on Nov. 24 at Al Janoub Stadium.
Africa's most World Cup attendants previously played in the editions of 1982, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010 and 2014. (QNA)
