Doha, November 28 (QNA) - Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced Monday that its national team's defender Mohammed Al Breik was injured in his calf muscle, before the Saudi team's fateful match with Mexico on Wednesday, in Group C of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

On the other hand, the team's player Riyad Sharahili participated in the group training after having his fitness back, while the team's midfielder Nawaf Al Abed has also participated in the last part of the training session, after having attended the medical clinic due to pain in the joint of his foot. Al Abed's readiness is to be determined later.

For his part, the team's French coach Herve Renard will choose between midfielders Abdullah Otayf and Ali Al Hassan to play - taking over Abdulelah Al Malki, who is suspended due to the accumulations of cards, while Sharahili's arrival at the ready expands the options for the French coach.

The Saudi national team's (Green Falcons) coach Renard has allowed the team's captain Salman Al Faraj to leave the team's camp in Doha, based on medical reports that revealed the player's need for a treatment program, preventing him from joining his team in the finals.

The Green Falcons are required to either win against Mexico to ensure qualifying for the round of 16, or draw - provided that Argentina loses against Poland.
