Doha, June 23 (QNA) - The State of Qatar stressed today its commitment to fighting climate change, saying the country has focused on addressing the issue in the framework of its 2030 national vision, making it one of the four main pillars. The State of Qatar also noted that it adopted several measures to conserve the environment and natural resources, in addition to carrying out several projects that lower Carbon Dioxide emissions and rely on renewable energy resources.

He highlighted that Qatar is committed to international cooperation in the field of conserving the environment, evident by its pledge to assist small developing island states and the least developed states in facing climate change.
He added that the State of Qatar is keeping a keen eye, as part of the priorities determined by the Special Rapporteur, the impact climate technologies are having on human rights.
