Somali Foreign Minister, UN Envoy Discuss Humanitarian Situation in Somalia

Mogadishu, August 19 (QNA) - Somali Foreign Minister Abshir Omar Huruse and Deputy Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Somalia Adam Abdelmoula discussed the humanitarian situation in Somalia, especially the UN development programs and projects in the Somali territories.
During the meeting, the Somali Foreign Minister explained the great efforts made by his country's government to provide aid to the needy living in drought-affected areas, calling on the international community institutions to expedite the provision of humanitarian aid to Somalis affected by the drought and food shortage crisis and approve development programs to support the government's priority goals.
