Doha, October 24 (QNA) - Qatar University Young Scientists Center (QUYSC) launched a new cycle of its 'December Aladaam' initiative, which aims to promote national values and identity, highlight scientific studies and spread research culture.
This year, the initiative will present studies and scietific research that have been made by Qatar Univeristy (QU) in the area of innovation and sustainability in the sports field, and Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, in addition to presenting the scientific contributions made by QU.
Director of QUYSC Prof. Noora Jabor Al-Thani said: "in the center, we are always keen to spread the culture of scientific research and highlight the role of Qatar University in developing researches and scientific studies." "This is to achieve the goals and objectives of the university and support the research priorities of the State of Qatar and Qatar National Vision 2030," she noted, adding "we dedicate our efforts every year to launch 'December Aladaam' initiative, which will highlight research projects for all university departments and develop a spirit of loyalty and pride of the national identity." She also pointed out the efforts of those in charge of the initiative to serve as a means to connect the entire community, and to familiarize its members with the national efforts and achievements in various fields.
It is noteworthy that QUYSC began launching this initiative in 2020, as a means to direct all activities and celebrations of the National Day, which the center holds on electronic platforms due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, with the participation of all the university's colleges and departments to celebrate the National Day.
