Doha, November 05 (QNA) - The State of Qatar, represented by the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), is participating in the 22nd meeting of the heads of civil retirement and social insurance agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which takes place on Nov. 6-7, 2023, in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman.
The Qatari delegation is led by HE GRSIA Director-General Ahmed bin Ali Al Hamadi. During the meeting, discussions will cover the follow-up report on the action plan of the committee of heads of civil retirement and social insurance agencies and the statistical indicators for implementing the unified system to extend social protection. Additionally, the meeting will address the civil retirement and social insurance funds award for scientific research.
The meeting will also address the status of unregistered workers in the unified system, review the required documents, and consider the proposal from the General Secretariat related to on-the-job training and other topics presented by member states.
Notably, the meeting will include an award ceremony to honor leading figures in the field of civil retirement and social insurance for the first time. The honorees will include individuals from the GCC countries, among them, HE Turki bin Mohammed Al Khater, the former president of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority in the State of Qatar.
