Doha, December 09 (QNA) - Here is a summary of local news released Friday: - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani participated today in Washington in the meeting of members of the ministerial committee assigned by the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit, with HE Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator Ben Cardin, and a number of committee members.
- Hayya Platform CEO Saeed Ali Al Kuwari affirmed that the tremendous success achieved during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 greatly contributed to the platform's continued provision of all its services post-tournament. He highlighted a shift in focus towards visitors, aiming to enhance ambitious tourism plans in Qatar by offering numerous services through the Hayya platform.
- HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a cable of condolences to his brother Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the death of HRH Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
- The State of Qatar participated in the meeting of the international alliance for the return of Ukrainian children, which was held today, via video conference technology.
- The Shura Council participated in a round table on the Arab declaration for the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls, organized by the Coalition of Women MPs from Arab Countries to Combat Violence against Women. The round table took place through on Zoom last night, Thursday.
- The State of Qatar welcomed the Parliament in the Kingdom of Denmark's adoption of a law prohibiting the inappropriate treatment of religious texts, expressing its hope that this legislation will constitute a deterrent to reduce hate speech against religions, especially when it comes to Islamophobia.
- HE President of the Republic of Kenya Dr. William Ruto received the credentials of HE Mohammed bin Mutair Al Anazi, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kenya.

- HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Naimi said that the State of Qatar has prioritized the application of 'Green Education' concept as part of its efforts to achieving sustainable development and supporting national efforts towards the environment, through a package of purposeful policies, programmes, activities and events.
