After receiving a record number of tourists in 2023 with 14.5 million tourists, tourism revenues from hard currency (foreign exchange) recorded a record high of 105 billion dirhams ($10.5 billion), which represents growth by 12% compared to 2022, the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism said in a statement.
Moroccan Minister of Tourism Fatim-Zahra Ammor said that the tourism sector is considered one of the country's largest providers of hard currency.
